You are receiving this letter of invitation to attend a series of classes on our Constitution because of your expressed interest in conversation or perhaps you listed your name on a signup sheet.

These classes will be a series of lessons by DVD format and trust you will find the material we have chosen to use to be interesting. Dr. Eidsmoe is a Constitutional attorney whom we have met in person when we attended the 400 year celebration of Jamestown. His teaching goes beyond the Constitution as he has a passion for history. This is important to know since our Constitution is more than mere words on paper. The ideals our founders laid to pen come from their understanding of history. We need to know this history.

Unfortunately, in our educational system over the years, history has been watered down or rewritten, twisting those ideals and their meanings to fit the agenda for a different social order that leaves behind truth. Events in our history are more than dates, places, people and events. Everything happened for a reason, a cause, or an ideal that men could not give up or yield to. Just as our beliefs motivate our actions and day to day lives, so to for those great men and women in history. We need to know what moved them in thought and to action. By this understanding, we can better know what our actions should be to preserve this great nation for the generations that will follow.

We have a duty. Let us pursue it with a newness of the knowledge of history, the wisdom of truth and a commitment to action not unlike those we follow.

Classes will start Monday, Aug. 10 for the next 7 weeks. Time is 7-9 at our house.
