No. The Democrats are the main proponents of the socialist agenda and always have been. The Republicans are just rolling over and letting it happen. Either way they both need to be replaced.

Kalamazoo Tea Party Group - New Office Now Open

A very generous local real estate investor has graciously donated office space and a conference room to our organization. He wishes to remain anonymous and his only desire for compensation is that our Mission be successful.

We have many volunteers and are planning to have our office manned and available daily from 9 - 4:30 with evenings and weekends as necessary to accomodate our various groups and member requirements. Our phone lines will be installed this week and I will publish the office ph… Continue

Republicans got and earful at Radisson Hotel on Monday Night

Former Republican State Representative Jack Hoogendyk called me Monday afternoon and asked me if I would like to attend an event at the Radisson Hotel in Kalamazoo that the Republican Party was sponsoring. He thought it would be a good opportunity for me to "mingle" with some of the State Congressmen and Republican Party leaders and give them a some of my ideas on how they might better represent the voters in the area.

Of course I jumped at the opportunity, and for the better part of 2 hours -… Continue

Anti-discrimination ordinance battle cost $458,000

by Kathy Jessup / Kalamazoo Gazette
KALAMAZOO — Campaign groups on opposing sides of the city’s Nov. 3 gay-rights ballot question used more than $458,000 in cash and in-kind services to make their cases to the voters.

Campaign finance records filed Thursday show wealthy Kalamazoo philanthropist Jon Stryker was the largest, single money source in the campaign, writing checks totaling $112,800 to ordinance proponent One Kalamazoo. That represented about $1 of every $3 raised in cash contributions by that campaign.

One Kalamazoo had the decided money edge, amassing a war chest of $402,035, compared to a total $55,209 reported by opponent group Kalamazoo Citizens Voting NO to Special Rights Discrimination.

I was so glad to see you at the counter protest. Please stay in touch and if you have any other events please keep us posted as we need to join together at these events. In fact maybe we need to have you form a sub-group so people from your area that end up on our site can find you and you could do the same on yours. What are your thoughts?

Thanks!

Doug,

Please take a short video and/or a few pictures of your protest and post them on the website. Thanks!

Doug,

I'm sorry I won't be able to make to the protest tomorrow. If I had a sitter, I would be all set. I certainly hope that people show up to it. I certainly appreciate the effort you are putting into this and hope it goes well. I am planning on writing to Granholm, Biden, Stabenow, and Levin to let them know that even though I was unable to make it to the protest...I support it and I am a tea party member. They have to realize we aren't idiots and we aren't going to be fooled by their bologna. At least that is nicer than another way I could think of to put it.

Doug,

I sent a broadcast message to all the Tea Party Members. We'll see what happens with the short notice. I personally out of Town and will not be back in time for this event. What an awsome chance to stem the liberal tide. If you have a chance to let me know what else I can do or how it went I would be appreciative.

If you want to add the event to the calender on the main page please feel free to do so.

Many of the members on this site are from the east side of the state. Hopefully the word will spread quickly to the other tea party groups. Thanks for the heads up.
