Meet on the Washington DC Capital steps Thursday, Nov. 5 at noon with Congresswoman Michele Bachmann for protest at Capital steps, Washington DC

I had my picture taken with Mr. Hoyas later in the day, on the Capitol Building lawn. I didn't know that his group had led the march!! Cool :)

Looks like our trip is all set... crew of 4 assembled to share driving and room costs, will be pulling out of GR Friday after work and arriving in D.C. early Saturday morning, driving back Sunday. Washington, can you hear us NOW?????

Margaret Gustafson said… - The bus is $165 per person and is due by July 23rd. This cost is based on getting 35 people to go. If we get more people, the cost will go down. If we can get a bus full it will go down to $112 per person. The rooms are $143.10 per room and you can share a room to reduce your cost, but it is up to you to make those arrangements. Once you pay for the bus, I will give you the info on the hotel so you can book your room.

- How did you find Tea Party of West Michigan?
- By searching for where the Tea Party will be on the 4th of July, through Glenn Beck's website.
- Why do you want to join the Tea Party?
- I have much administrative experience, but I'm not sure how helpful that would be. I do have graphic design and printing industry experience.
- Are you interested in volunteering?
- Absolutely. My observation is that party affiliation doesn't seem to matter; once someone gets to Washington, they lose all sense of reality as far as their authority to spend money that isn't theirs. If you haven't seen the movie "The Distinguished Gentleman" with Eddie Murphy, it's worth watching. You have to get past his language, but I have never seen a more true depiction of Washington's inner workings.
