I agree with you 100% Bob. There are no leaders and no followers. We are all individuals and the Bill of Rights is there to protect those MOST self-evident God given rights of birth.

You either know what they are or you loose them. End of story.

Rose and Brandon, that seems to be the way of the world. Any grassroots movement will as it grows reach what I call the "Move On .Org" point. That is the point when a group for whatever reasons thinks of itself and its goals as more important than the grassroots or the individual.

To keep that from happening we need to be ever vigilient. And cut the preaching. That's for the people in the know, for the rest of us we just want to live our own lives the way we feel best. Yes I can. If I hear "Yes We Can" one more time I'll vomit.

In forming our constitution our founders knew this and tried to form a government to fight that. Time is finally catching up with our government.

Thomas Jefferson said "And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance?....... The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure."

Sometimes Brandon I feel when dealing in the Tea Party work I've stepped in a pile of it myself. When is enough too much? When they are right and we are wrong.

Lots of big ideas and big leader wannabes that seem to forget what it takes to make things work, "we the people" Not we the group.

Brandon, this "tea party" party is never going to get off the ground. The fact that Lansing is having hearings on the issue to establish who they are is going to stop them dead in their tracts. Don't worry about it so much.

my last word on this is: its scary simple to those in the know...the people out there yet to be reached by you, me, "us" or whomever, maybe not so simple. That was my point, sorry if I lost track of it somewhere or was just lousy at conveying it.
Rose Lear Comment by Rose Lear on July 23, 2010 at 2:48pm
How much confusion can there be with Lansing holding hearings? If every newspaper does like the Muskegon Chronicle and publishes a disclaimer to this "tea party" it will force whoever is behind it to produce their identity.

The burden of proof is always on the Plaintiff. They must prove who they are, all we have to do is denounce them as being a part of us.

This is so simple it's scary.

I just see the opportunities for confusion among voters adn in that confusion the infiltrators causing havoc. Not everyone is aware of everything, so some mihgt be duped into thinking they are really "us"...I hope I am making sense...LOL
