Here is a song that seems to be getting pretty hot around the conservative world.

I really appreciate the time and effort the Manistee Area Tea Party put into their float entry this year. With thousands of people applauding along the parade routes both in Manistee and Ludington, the indication is clear that people are connecting with what the Tea Party stands for. Now it's time to work the next four weeks to get the electorate to vote in August for qualified conservative candidates and "throw the bums out" in November.

I can't believe (actually I can) that the Second Amendment vote was 5-4. What are those 4 thinking? It is in the Constitution, so why does there politics get in the way.

Supreme Court Shoots Straight

Today the Supreme Court ended it’s session for the year. As usual, they closed out the year delivering their last few rulings. By a 5-4 vote they got it right on the Second Amendment. The Court ruled for the first time Monday that the Second Amendment provides all Americans a fundamental right to bear arms.

“It is clear that the Framers . . . counted the right to keep and bear arms among those fundamental rights necessary to our system of ordered liberty,” Justice Alito wrote in the majority opinion. The decision does not strike down any other gun control measures currently in place, but it provides a legal basis for challenges across the country where gun owners believe that government rulings have been to restrictive.

The court’s decision means that the Second Amendment — “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed” — identifies an individual right to gun ownership, like the freedom of speech, that cannot be unduly restricted by Congress, state laws or city ordinances. Now if Senator Joe Lieberman would just learn to follow the Constitution we wouldn’t have him attempting to give President Obama authority to shut down the Internet.

As President Obama has nominated a person totally unfit to serve on our Supreme Court, it becomes all the more essential that he is a single term President. We can’t afford him to shift the balance of power on the Court.

if we can do it i would be willing to pull it in all the smaller village celebration parades too

not sure how long we can have the building for storage and the trailer but its a thought

We may run the float in the Ludington parade on Sunday, July 4th. I'm waiting for confirmation from the Ludington group. We hope to have many of their group up for the Manistee parade and hopefully we can go to theirs. This float is going to be awesome folks!!! I'll post any upcoming work sessions.
