Please note that not every candidate was given a opportunity to go though the vetting process and some of those that did and were vetted are not truly committed to the cause of the tea party. I am. Always has been always will be. My website Timodonnell.us will tell you who I am. My actions will show you who I am. Thank you

Don't forget ICaucus is vetting many candidates and they have several endorsed now. I'll get a link to the updated list.

FYI all. If your not aware of it there is a sample ballot at https://webapps.sos.state.mi.us/mivote/ so you can see who you will be voting on 8/3/2010. It is and easy way to see who you should be doing your research on also.Which is very very important that we know who we want in office.

Supreme Court Shoots Straight

Today the Supreme Court ended it’s session for the year. As usual, they closed out the year delivering their last few rulings. By a 5-4 vote they got it right on the Second Amendment. The Court ruled for the first time Monday that the Second Amendment provides all Americans a fundamental right to bear arms.

“It is clear that the Framers . . . counted the right to keep and bear arms among those fundamental rights necessary to our system of ordered liberty,” Justice Alito wrote in the majority opinion. The decision does not strike down any other gun control measures currently in place, but it provides a legal basis for challenges across the country where gun owners believe that government rulings have been to restrictive.

The court’s decision means that the Second Amendment — “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed” — identifies an individual right to gun ownership, like the freedom of speech, that cannot be unduly restricted by Congress, state laws or city ordinances. Now if Senator Joe Lieberman would just learn to follow the Constitution we wouldn’t have him attempting to give President Obama authority to shut down the Internet.

As President Obama has nominated a person totally unfit to serve on our Supreme Court, it becomes all the more essential that he is a single term President. We can’t afford him to shift the balance of power on the Court.

I was supposedly sent a questionaire from ICAUCAS. I never received it and was informed by one of the people that was running it that because I didn't respond I wouldn't be supported by the tea party. I was the co-chair of the grand Haven tea party group until I decided to run for election. I back the concepts of the tea party and emphatically support both the US and Michigan Constitution, as written. Although ICAUCAS will not allow me to answer the questions, I will answer any questions you may have. I am running for 30th district State Senate.
