Influence policy, effect elections, protect the Constitution.
Yes, we're at it again. Tyler Seeley and Scott Bailey have been helping Margaret and I plan an event for our youth. Since we are not in that age bracket, we needed their expert advice. Melissa Bedford did a lot of phoning to help us find a suitable location that was available on such short notice.
"FIGHTING FOR FREEDOM: A Concert and Tea Party for Young Patriots" will be held on May 8 from 1:00 to 3:30 pm. The location is Godwin Heights Fine Arts Auditorium. This will be a concert mixed with a vew short Tea Party Speeches. A 1/2 hour intermission is scheduled.
Tyler will be the Master of Ceremonies, and Scott will offer two speeches. Justin Amash is tentatively scheduled to speak twice. Our plan is for everyone on stage to be within the age bracket we are targeting -- approximately 17 to 25. There is no intent, however, to exclude youth who are not in this age bracket. They are more than welcome to attend.
This is all about getting the younger generation involved in the conservative movement, voting with knowledge rather than emotion, and interested in following the constitution.
Tea Party merchandise, drinks, and snacks will be for sale.
We certainly will need volunteers to help with this event, too.
Watch the event "FIGHTING FOR FREEDOM" for more information as it develops in the next few days.
