Tea Party of West Michigan

Influence policy, effect elections, protect the Constitution.

I can understand their wanting to do this but realistically it will throw the election to the libs. I would have thought the Tra Party members would know this. Disapponting.

Is there one Nevada Tea Party? I have friends in Nevada. This is not what I"ve heard. This is one person's opinion. Again, we are each our own "Tea Party". No one controls any of us. There are plenty of people that I would not "hold my nose" and vote for, yet I'm glad Scott Brown got elected. In another election, I may not "hold my nose and vote" for someone like Scott Brown based on my personal Pro Life opinion.

Be careful of absolute comments made by individuals.

Looks like they formed a third party called the Nevada Tea Party. Here are their bylaws:

I wonder if it was some Republicans trying to co-opt the tea party or some liberals trying to split the vote or some true tea party activists that think a third party is a good thing.

Rush talked about this today. Margaret is right. They have formed a third party, which could ensure Reid's re-election. Rush also was very emphatic that the way to save our country is for strong constitutional conservatives to take over the Republican Party.

"...one of us" is a terrifying statement and should be used with utmost caution.

The minute we identify ourselves more with the Tea Party than our own individual beliefs and convictions, is the minute we go back to punching "straight ticket" and open ourselves up to the same mistakes we made with the republican party all over again.

WizzDingo is exactly Right!

Beware of the "absolutists" who lay claim to the Tea Party and insist they have all the Right answers all the time. Until the "Second Coming", be prepared to be disappointed and frustrated by those in whom you have invested complete faith and hope. EVERYBODY is "wrong" about some things some times --- Beck, Palin, Rush, "even" Ron Paul, and, of course, you and me. Welcome to the human race.

"Groupthink" is lazy, intellectually sterile, and terribly dangerous. Think for yourselves and challenge not only those with whom you disagree --- vigorously and honestly challenge your own beliefs and biases.
